What's included in this Premium Learning session?

This session of the 'Simplify and Comply' Greeley premium learning series will discuss common sense solutions for suicide screening, suicide assessment, and suicide precautions with special emphasis on the emergency department and general acute care units (e.g. critical care, med-surg tele). We will discuss the appropriate use of the Columbia system for identifying suicidality and successful, compliant approaches to protecting high-risk patients.

Available for download will be sample policies and procedure, a guideline describing levels of behavioral observation, simplified suicide screening questions, a sample suicide risk assessment tool, and a tool for safety inspections. We will also offer sample slides for the training of hospital personnel.

This learning session is designed for hospitals with or without behavioral health units.
